Plaster Finishes

steel float
Steel Float

The steel float finish has a smooth to the touch feel .

sponge
Sponge

The sponge finish has a beautiful subtle texture to it, a little like a medium sandpaper.

wooden float
Wooden Float

The wooden float finish is more suited to outside rendering as it has a much coarser finish, that being said, it also looks great on internal walls.

Mortar Mixes

Getting the correct mortar mix is very important, as using the wrong aggregate will dramatically change the colour and appearance of your project.

Here at Sussex Lime Plastering we can take a sample of your mortar and have it analysed to get as close to the original mortar as possible. This is achieved by using specific blends of sands and grits, and may also require the addition of a colour pigment or larger stone to achieve the correct finish.
