Preparation is a very important part of any project and must be done right, removal of blown plaster damaged laths, old render, raking out of brickwork etc, is all undertaken to ensure the end result will last for many years to come.

With a wide range of tools on hand there are no hidden costs for 'specialist' tools or equipment. One thing to keep in mind is access, the hiring of scaffold may be needed for some projects.

If you have any questions, queries or would like us to come and have a look at your historic property then please get in touch

As well as using Lime putty plaster's and base coats that are sand based and wet, we also offer insulating base coats to help improve the buildings temperature in both winter and summer months.

There are a number of finishes that can be achieved with lime, from a smooth to a more rustic finish. Once dried the plaster can be painted with an appropriate paint.

Pigments can also be added to a 'Regency' fine plaster to add colour without the need for painting, this finish can be finished with a wax to give a sheen and make it suitable for wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.

Along with lime plaster, I am also an approved installer of ClayWorks clay plasters. With these plasters you can choose from many different colours and finishes as well as custom ones to give your project a truly personal feel.
